形態特徵

  • Stems branching above, branches ascending, densely ashy-tomentose, densely leafy above, naked below.
  • Leaves thick, narrowly spatulate to obovate-oblanceolate, 2–5×0.2–2 cm, entire or trilobate or sometimes 3–5-pinnatifid, apex obtuse, base narrowed, hairy on both surfaces.
  • Heads racemosely arranged on branches, ca. 7 mm broad, peduncles 6–17 mm long. Involucre sub-hemispheric, 3×7 mm, densely tomentose, bracts 3-seriate, outer ones elliptic, obtuse or acute, middle ones narrow, inner ones slightly shorter, oblong. Outer florets pistillate, 1-seriate, corolla tubular, ca. 1.5 mm long. Central disc florets bisexual; corolla tubular, ca. 1.5 mm long, 5-dentate.
  • Achenes oblong, ca. 1.5 mm long, 5-angular. Pappus ca. 0.5 mm long.
  • Chromosome number, 2n = 18 (Peng & Hsu, 1978).

分布

  • 台灣 : a littoral plant on raised coral rocks and cliffs. Rare and threatened in the wild; often cultivated for ornamental or medicinal purposes.
  • 世界 : Distributed in southern China and Ryukyu.
